Women may not be at higher risk of mortality due to COVID-19, but they do face disproportionate impact of lockdown measures, as well as a higher likely impact of the pandemic overall. This is due to the structure of the economy and women’s work, gendered norms and practices around domestic and care work, continuing risk of abuse and violence in home and work environments, among other factors. IWWAGE has compiiled a detailed list of resources on the impact of COVID-19 on women, useful for those seeking to plan for both gender-sensitive response and post-pandemic phases.
