Guidelines for Setting Up Community Based Quarantine Facility in Rural Areas

In a disease outbreak, rural areas are often particularly susceptible, in part due to more limited access to healthcare resources and professionals. Home quarantines, a basic preventive measure, may not be feasible for many people due to lack of space or presence of high-risk individuals in the home. These guidelines explain the process and requirements for establishing community-based quarantine facilities in rural areas, and can be used by health workers, community groups, and administrators.
