Loss of sense of smell as marker of COVID-19 infection

Loss of smell, or anosmia, is considered to be a significant symptom of Covid-19, although it is unclear in what percentage of Covid-positive patients this symptom will be present. Based on evidence from different countries, this advisory by ENT UK suggests that anosmia could be used as a screening criteria to identify potential patients who show no other symptoms.
