Shaping a holistic response to COVID-19: Protecting food systems and rural producers

The article address the shock faced by food supply chains in developing countries during COVID-19 pandemic. Small and medium sized enterprises suffer the most in the midstream and downstream parts of the agri-food sector. Informal labourers feel vulnerable due to the lack of safety nets. There is difference in the way the rural and urban spheres are impacted. IFAD proposes reccomendations in this document, for bringing about long term stability and change.
